Our Mission

Serve2Cure: A Rally to Ace Cancer

Serve2Cure’s mission is to provide a fun, competitive tennis tournament to raise money and awareness for local Pittsburgh cancer charities. Our past five tennis tournaments have been a huge SUCCESS. Thanks to all of our players, sponsors, donors and supporters, we have donated over $90,000 to local cancer charities since 2011. Serve2Cure is a 501(c)(3) charity.

Serve2Cure’s 2017 beneficiary is Matt’s Maker Space, an initiative of the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation. Since 2006, Matt’s has furnished science, technology, art, engineering and math (STEAM) education to help suffering kids feel more comfortable while in Children’s Hospital. It also sponsors Matt’s playrooms and teen rooms at Children’s Hospital and Our Clubhouse so that children with cancer and their siblings have a place to connect with peers. Matt’s Maker Space keeps the memory of Matt Conover alive, a Mt. Lebanon boy who lost his battle with cancer at age 12.

In the game of tennis or in the game of life, how we serve determines our return. As we rally to ace cancer, we are serving to cure our family, friends, and countless others who are fighting this deadly disease. Please join us again in 2017!

We believe the return will be amazing!

The TOURNAMENT

Serve2Cure was founded by a group of friends in Mt. Lebanon, PA in 2011. This September 15-17 will be our 7th annual charity tennis tournament at the Mt. Lebanon Tennis Center, 900 Cedar Blvd., Mt. Lebanon, PA 15228. Players can participate in one doubles event and unlimited cardio and triples events, including Women's Doubles, Men's Doubles, Mixed Doubles, Cardio Tennis, and a Triples Tournament! If you don’t have a partner, we will help you find one!

A USTA ranking is not necessary, but if you are ranked, please play in your ranking level or the level above. If you are not ranked by the USTA, please self-rate and play where you feel you can compete.

A HUGE thanks to all
our sponsors.

Putting together any charity event takes a lot of help! We need financial support in order to execute a high-quality charity tennis tournament; one that will produce a significant amount of money that we can give directly to our beneficiary.

Therefore, please consider sponsoring Serve2Cure 2017. We worked hard to provide options for every level of giving. Please know that your generosity, at whatever level, will be greatly appreciated and will provide you with as much return on investment as we can possibly provide!
