8th Annual Charity Tennis Tournament

This one day team tennis tournament drew players from all over Pittsburgh and beyond. The morning started out with round robin triples play, moved to men’s and women’s doubles and then the morning concluded with mixed doubles. Tournament players got a break for lunch and to peruse the Health Expo and then the same cycle of play was repeated in the afternoon. The day’s activities were accompanied by DJ Hank Hughes and his wide selection of music. Teams were made up of 20 players roughly comprised of an even number of intermediate and advanced men and women. Registration was open to teams, a partial teams or individual. Individuals were connected with players from other teams to help round the teams out.
The $75 registration fee supported the Pittsburgh Melanoma Foundation and included a t-shirt, player bag, breakfast, lunch, dinner, free activities for kids and access to Serve2Cure’s inaugural Health Expo!
The Health Expo featured organizations promoting health and wellness and included dermatologists, local health care organizations, elder law attorneys, concussion specialists, Pilates practitioners, nutritionists, natural food stores, chiropractors, and essential oil specialists.
